Winter Term 2009, It Begins
After what feels like a long break, Diamond Mountain University is back in session. The first term of 2009 looks like it's going to be a good one: the weather is warm, the veterans are back, and rookies are setting up their tents.
What strikes me about this term is the slew of new courses being offered (as always, for free) at Diamond Mountain. Ticket to Heaven, Light and the Wish, Song in My Heart, Green Tara I, Middle Kingdom, and Exploration in Emptiness are just a few. Will this onslaught of knowledge never cease? The only way these and the magnificent continuing courses are possible is through the hard work and kindness of every teacher/volunteer at Diamond Mountain. And that could be you. If you have some precious knowledge that you'd like to share — and everyone does — Diamond Mountain just may be the place for you to offer it to others.
One example of this sharing is the daily yoga practice which is lead by a rotating group of expert instructors. Head yogini-organizer Jessica Kung has put together a schedule of the daily yoga practice which can be viewed and downloaded from the comfort of whatever cushion, rock, or carpet you happen to be sitting on.
