Assessing and Repairing
If you didn't read the last post you may not know that DM received a lot of rain in the past few days. A lot. There hasn't been a rain like this, in these parts for over 20 years. This mixed blessing brought much needed water in excess and that excess did some damage to the road at Diamond Mountain.
Today we went armed with shovels, picks, and a bobcat to try to mend and rebuild some of the less destroyed sections of our thoroughfare. Success! Now with a little more work the road should be functional again. That is, until the next big rain.

Joni and I are your next door neighbors at Shafer Ranch. When Jerry Michaels owned Diamond Mountain we were constantly fixing the road past the boot gate.I feel your pain. I think next time you might tell the girl doing road work in designer sandals that she might rethink her choice of footwear! The fence in the wash seperating our horse and donkey from eating your yurts is a little suspect. Could you check it out?
