Je Tsongkapa Day, Dec. 4th

Coming up in two weeks in Je Tsongkapa Day, the annual holiday celebrating the trailblazer of Tibetan Buddhism and founder of the Gelukpa tradition.  How super was this guy?  He is by far the most studied author in every Gelukpa monastery, having written over 10,000 pages in his lifetime (1357-1419).  To celebrate there will be an offering of 1,000 lights and a recitation of the Thousand Angels of the Heaven of Bliss.  For those with Vajrayogini initiation this will be followed by Tsechu.

The festivities begin at 6:00 PM with Tsechu at about 8:00 PM.  And if you'd like to help out with the setup of this holy event come to the temple around 3:00 PM.
The party never stops at Diamond Mountain.
